Kart over industrisatsing

Kunnskapsparken Nord AS (Kupa) is a regional industrial incubator in the SIVA network. We are located in Harstad and Tromsø in the northern part of Norway, but our geographical focus is Nordland and Troms counties. We maintain this focus by having partnership agreements with local organizations (see map on the right). Our overall goal is to develop innovative, robust companies and create meeting places and networks between industry, research institutions and the public sector. Our industrial shareholders – Statoil, Total, Bergen Group and SIVA – contribute with financial capital, networks and expertise to enable us to succeed.

Our three focus areas are:

Dynamic Industries
Helping established companies to develop products and services in the following industries: - Oil and gas - Renewable energy - Oil spill prevention and control We can provide project management for development projects and networking with other companies or institutions. We can also establish contact with R&D institutions or governmental organizations and assist with obtaining funding for projects.

Dynamic Entrepreneurs
In our business incubator we assist entrepreneurs and companies, regardless of industry, in an early phase of the innovation process. The companies in the incubator receive help in developing their business plan and obtaining funding for the development of their idea. We also assist with market research, product development and contact with R&D institutions.

Dynamic Youth
In order to stimulate interest in science, technology and entrepreneurship among children and youth, our Dynamic Youth projects are aimed at children and young people from 10 years of age until 30 years. For the youngest we have established a Newton room in Harstad and we arrange the First Lego League tournament in Harstad each year. For the older pupils we also assist with entrepreneurship program in secondary school. We work closely with schools to develop the skills and experience necessary for pupils to start their own business. For students and recent graduates our programs Look North Trainee and Look North Recruitment aim to attract recent graduates to the Harstad region.
